Grace grew up attending Dr. Barnes’ family camp with her family, became a counselor in training as an adolescent, and was hired as a counselor during her college years.  During this time, she formed a close relationship with Dr. Barnes, who became her professional mentor and always gave her treasured advice about balancing career with personal values.
